Inspired by the Harlem Renaissance. Jazz played a major role in our upbringing and we have chosen to feature these talented geniuses as a tribute to not only their legacies, but as a tribute to our grandmother who personally knew several of these individuals and supported their work during their lifetimes. Their artistry was our bread and butter during childhood and grounded us mentally, spiritually and emotionally throughout life. There is a richness to this era that is severely overlooked and it is our hope to rectify that. The Harlem Renaissance was a time of great African achievement on this soil. The world is forever changed because of it, without further delay:
